Over 55's Social Group

   A group of approximately one dozen of
  our more senior parishioners from both
  churches meet on a Wednesday in St
  Theresa’s room, attached to St Peter’s
  church, for activities, outings, shared
  lunches and socialising. All are most
  welcome to join.

  We meet on Wednesdays either weekly or
  fortnightly. The meetings usually begin at
  11.00am; but earlier (e.g. 10.00 or 10.30) when an outing is planned. These are listed in our parish bulletin.

Activities to date have been Gentle exercises - ‘Extend’ – with a trainer funded by Bradford Community Fund. Outings (walking, shopping and eating) - Ilkley, Otley, Skipton, Addingham (the Lion Inn), Lavender Farm ….. So far we have had enough transport to accommodate everyone who wants to come, but please let us know in advance if joining us for the first time on an outing date.

Eating! – we usually prepare a hot meal every other ‘at home’ meeting, with a small charge of £2 -£3 to help build up funds. We have successfully bid for a grant of £500 from the Community Fund to help with furnishings and kitchen equipment.

Future developments.
We are open to any (feasible!) suggestions for future activities
and trips and remember you are always welcome to come and
join us.
